This eco-friendly ashtray is made from a recycled Jack Daniel's bottle. It is engraved with the "Appeal to Heaven" emblem created for flags to be flown by six ships commissioned by George Washington at the start of the American Revolutionary War. Appeal to Heaven comes from philosopher John Locke's Second Treatise of Government, regarding the universal law of nature. Locke had a great influence on our Founding Fathers. His inspiration can be seen on many of our country's original documents. This emblem was for one of a number of American flags that flew during the American Revolutionary War by the Patriots.
