This rock is engraved with the coordinates of the parade grounds at West Point Military Academy. The parade grounds, where generals like Ulysses S. Grant, John J. Pershing, Douglas McArthur and Norman Schwarzkopf marched. These leaders, along with many others who graduated from West Point, have led our brave men and women in every battle, in every war - the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and the Iraq War. All those who graduated from West Point and those they led all believe in the credo DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY. They are the protectors of our freedom and liberty.
